Settings

Enable Nameplates

Master toggle to show or hide all nameplates. When disabled, entities display no nameplate text at all.
If the server admin has disabled the master killswitch, this toggle shows (Disabled by Admin) and cannot be re-enabled by the player.

Only Show NPC Nameplates When Looking

When enabled, NPC nameplates are only visible for entities you’re currently looking at. Uses a ~25 degree half-angle view cone with a maximum range of 12 blocks. Enabled by default for new players. Player nameplates are always visible regardless of this setting. Entities outside the cone receive an empty nameplate update to prevent the default entity ID from showing through.

Crouch Hiding

Player nameplates are automatically hidden when you are crouching (like Minecraft). This does not require any toggle - it applies automatically.

Show Welcome Message

Toggle the coloured join message on or off. Disabled by default. When enabled, you see a message every time you join the server:
  • Green - [ServerName] - Use /npb to customize your nameplates.
  • Red (when all segments are disabled) - [ServerName] - Nameplates are disabled on this server.
If the server admin has disabled welcome messages, this toggle shows (Disabled by Admin) and cannot be re-enabled by the player.

Offset

Vertical nameplate offset in blocks. Adjusted via a slider, clamped to the range -5.0 to 5.0. When a non-zero offset is set, an invisible anchor entity is spawned above the real entity and the nameplate text is routed to the anchor, creating a hologram-style floating effect. The anchor follows the real entity every tick and is automatically cleaned up on death or when the offset returns to zero.

Saving

Click Save to persist your settings. All settings are saved per-player and survive server restarts.
